The Ultimate Wakesurfing Boat

I don't want to be misleading, so I'll tell you right off the bat that this post isn't about the boat itself.  Fact is, from Malibu to Moomba, Nautique, Mastercraft, Supra and others, you don't have to look very hard to find an exceptional wake or ski boat.

Instead this post is about the relatively new-to-market Delta WakeSurf Shaper.  Of course we carry it, so if you're one who prefers to cut to the chase, hop through this link.  But if you're curious as to why I've chosen to dedicate a post to the "Shaper", and you're interested as to how I'll spin a $400 accessory as an incredible bargain, well then, read on.

As you're probably aware, the boarder-boater community is a dedicated one.  They're fun seekers, but performance demanders.  Which adds up, if you ask me.  If you're willing to plunk down the kind of money that a performance wake boat requires, you're no doubt looking for a heck of a time, and you'll be pretty disappointed if said boat doesn't perform flawlessly.

Which is why a less than perfect wake is, frankly, unacceptable.  But that perfect wake requires a lot of fine tuning on the part of boat, driver and passengers.  Is the ballast dialed in, the passengers positioned right, the driver keyed into speed?  Even water depth and temperature can throw off a wake's curl.  So we're talking serious fine tuning, and that's where the WakeSurf Shaper introduces itself.

The WakeSurf Shaper is a universal attachment for inboard powered boats, designed to create the perfect wake for surfing.  It attaches to your boat's hull in seconds with industrial suction cups - yes, they're powerful enough to withstand water forces while at speed!  The science is a bit beyond me, but in essence, the WakeSurf Shaper disrupts the flow of water on one side of your boat and - KA BAM - magically introduces a crisp, curling wave on the opposite side of the boat.  The science is logical, the results incredible.

Now remember, you've already put down BIG money for the ultimate wakeboarding boat. And I'm telling you that $400 will build you the ultimate wakesurfing boat.  Why wouldn't you do that?

(How's that for a sales pitch?)

In all seriousness though, if you're a wakesurfer or looking to "lose the rope", this is one accessory worth checking out.  We've personally tested it, used it and continue to do so, because it really does make a big performance difference.  And isn't performance + fun what it's really all about?
