Saturday night Surf Expo moved to Typhoon Lagoon for the industry party thrown by Sanuk. And it wasn't your typical family-friendly atmosphere at Typhoon Lagoon either.
The wave pool was set up as a "surf competition", where for each wave 2 new "competitors" would hop in the water. As the wave arrived, they would split peaks going left and right. Some were better than others, some made it, some didn't, and some paddled into waves with SUPs.
It was a great surf scene, complete with cocktails, skimpy bikinis, water slides and a DJ area in addition to the surf contest and wave pool setup. The whole event was well-attended and well-run, making for a great party.
