One of the newest products we've added to StoreYourBoard is our new skateboard rack, appropriately called the "naked rack", because when you mount it to your wall, it's like it's not even there. Just like a bikini, this rack covers the bare minimum, and stores and displays your skateboard and deck art in style.

Firefly Music Festival: Festival and Camping Pictures
By Andrew Sachs
The StoreYourBoard crew traveled down to Dover, Delaware and the Firefly Music Festival for a weekend of camping, concerts and (mostly) good clean fun for the second year in a row. Even though it felt like it was about twice as crowded this year, it was still an amazing time. Like a day surfing, you have to deal with the crowds when the waves are firing! And in fact, we already bought our advance tickets for 2014. Already started the countdown.
Check out some of our pictures from Firefly 2013:

Joel Parkinson Surfs to the Oakley Pro Bali Title
By Andrew Sachs
Joel Parkinson staged a late comeback in the Oakley Pro Bali final to knock off Michel Bourez and grab the title. The win bumps Parko up from seventh to third place overall in the tour standings, sitting behind only Slater and Mick at 1 and 2. Over the course of 10 days, Bali and Keramas played host to some amazing technical waves, providing opportunities for barrels, big hacks and airs. But it seemed that the Oakley Pro flew under the radar a bit compared to the year's first 4 events due to the combination of the (1) comp being scheduled so shortly after the hugely successful and popular Volcom Fiji Pro, (2) that it was the first contest held in Bali since 2008, and (3) that some of the hottest names this season - Kelly, John John and Jordy - all got bounced before the quarterfinals.

Wakeboard Tower Racks | Wakeboard Boat Storage
By Andrew Sachs
The calendar and the weather outside tell you that summer is now in full swing and everyone should be taking advantage and getting out on the lake and wakeboarding, whatever it takes. School's out so that's no excuse. If you have a job, leave early or take a vacation. Or quit.
We are selling a ton of wake racks, wakesurf racks and wakeskate racks for home storage and display, but want to let you know that we also have wakeboard tower racks to store your wakeboard on your boat while you are cruising around and ripping it up.

Surf Trip Travel Tips: Advantages to Traveling with Surfboards
By Andrew Sachs
The age-old question for a surf trip is: should I travel with my surfboard or rent one when I get to my destination? It’s an age-old question because there is a ton of value in having your own surfboard on a big surf trip. But sometimes traveling with your surfboard costs as much as buying another plane ticket and can be a huge hassle. What are the real benefits to traveling with your surfboard?

Celebrate International Surfing Day on June 20 (or June 23?)
By Andrew Sachs
Today is International Surfing Day - hopefully you are paddling out somewhere to celebrate the sport and spirit of surfing. And after you're finished, take part in some of the beach cleanup activities that local surfrider foundation chapters have planned. There are chapters everywhere that you can get in contact with to help out.

Oakley Pro Bali Schedule and Preview | June 18-29 in Keramas, Indonesia
By Andrew Sachs
The WCT moves west to another tropical island, Bali, for the Oakley Pro Bali from June 18th to 29th, fresh off of Kelly Slater's dominating win at the Fiji Pro. After the first 4 events of the season, Kelly has won twice and sits atop the world tour rankings. But before we crown Kelly with his 12th championship, let's not forget about some guys lurking right behind him. Mick Fanning is in second place and has actually been more consistent than Kelly this season, reaching the quarterfinals of every event - Kelly can't say that. Also, in the last three competitions, Jordy Smith has reach the semis, finals (won it) and quarters, so he's surfing hot right now. We'll see if their consistency holds up in Bali.

Kelly Slater Repeats as Volcom Fiji Pro Champ, Wins with Dominating Performance
By Andrew Sachs
Kelly Slater dominated the final rounds at the Volcom Fiji Pro en route to his second consecutive title in Fiji, once again proving why he is the world's best competitive surfer ever, and why Cloudbreak is one of his favorite waves. His quarterfinal-semifinal-final scores were almost too high to believe unless you've seen the waves: 20.00, 18.17 and 19.80. 2 perfect 10's in the quarterfinals! Nearly repeating 2 perfect 10's in the finals. And let's not forget Kelly had a 19.30 in round 4. Slater freakin' dominated!

Volcom Fiji Pro 2013 Quarterfinals Set: Mick v. Parko, John John v. Jordy...
By Andrew Sachs
After 4 days of waiting, the swell was back yesterday at Cloudbreak and the waves were rolling in heavy as ever. The competition moved ahead and finished rounds 3-5. Kelly Slater put on another show at one of his favorite waves and scored a 19.30 in round 4 - with a perfect 10 wave and another 9.30 to advance into the quarterfinals.

Volcom Fiji Pro Early Heats: Slater's Late Arrival, Restaurants Firing, and John John's Perfect 10
By Andrew Sachs
The early rounds of the Volcom Fiji Pro have provided great waves and great surfing that we have come to expect from Tavarua. The first two days of the competition were lay days, but those days were followed by 3 days of competition days. The day 1 action took place 2 miles out to sea, at Cloudbreak, but the competition switched to Restaurants on day 3 when the swell jumped there, providing for ideal wave riding conditions.

Snowboard and Kiteboard Rack | StoreYourBoard Customer Photos
Check out this awesome pic from Sergio in Los Angeles, California putting the StoreYourBoard Board Rack to use with two snowboards and a kiteboard. Very nice Sergio, thanks for sending this one in!
One of the best parts of the StoreYourBoard Board Rack is its multi-use potential. I know most of you probably ride more than one board during the year; if you love to snowboard you probably trade that in the summer for wakeboarding, kiteboarding, or surfing, and pretty much everyone has a skateboard. With the StoreYourBoard Board Rack you can store them all in one place. The other cool thing you can see here is Sergio is hanging his kite pump from the holes in the rack arms. This is a great use of space and a way to store even more of your sports gear using this rack. Use a clip or a bungee cord to store all your accessories.
We love to see your photos! Send them in to andrew@storeyourboard.com.

By Andrew Sachs
Harley Clifford claimed the top spot on the podium at the second stop of the MasterCraft Pro Wakeboard Tour this past weekend on Lake Norman in Mooresville, North Carolina. The Aussie phenom and defending champion started out hot, posting the highest score in qualifying (90.67) and stayed hot all the way through the finals, where he scored a 95 to take down Stop 1 winner Phil Soven (87) and Andrew Adkison (85).

Firefly Music Festival 2013 Lineup | Shows to See in Dover, Delaware
By Andrew Sachs
Firefly released the schedule of shows for its 2013 music festival. The biggest difference between the 2012 lineup schedule and this year's schedule is that the headlining shows will be going on later at night and so ending later - in 2012 the headliners ending at 11ish, not 12 like it will be in 2013. And as a nice bonus - Firefly scheduled shows for after the headliners, electronic shows from 12-1 am. The show I may be most excited about all weekend is White Panda at midnight on Saturday night.

SUP Ceiling Rack | Expandable Paddle Board Storage Rack
We recently discussed 4 of our best SUP racks, but now want to take the time to provide more detail on one of those best-selling paddle board racks, the SUP Ceiling Rack.
The SUP ceiling rack is made to mount to your ceiling to take advantage of unused overhead space to store your paddle board. This rack is perfect for your garage, shed, basement, or any room in your house (although some decorators may disagree with me there - they're wrong!). Mounted to your ceiling, the rack stores your paddle boards horizontally.
