What to Pack for Your Next Ski or Snowboard Trip

For most of us winter vacation is coming up, that means many of you will be planning a trip up to the mountains for some fun on the slopes. There’s no reason for you to get to the mountain and realize that you’re not prepared and you’ve forgotten a crucial piece of gear, so I’ve set up a packing list at the bottom of this article to make sure nothing gets left behind. Trust me, no matter your experience level we’ve all had that time where you forgot to pack that one piece of gear back at home...

Whenever I’m packing for anything first thing I do is make myself a list. It gives my brain no excuse to get distracted and pack stupid things and forget something critical. Then once I’ve got my list, I collect my gear and lay it out in front of me to see what I’ve got. This is where I will go through and visualize what I will need while riding and what I need to ditch to still keep my bag light for traveling.

Packing

Now because I already have all my gear laid out this makes it so much easier to pack your bag as efficiently as possible. First things first, leave the jeans and jackets out and just wear them to where you are going to save space. You can then put your goggles inside your boots to keep those from getting smashed. For the rest of the clothing thats up to you, fold them, roll them, just stuff them anywhere they will fit. The last thing that you should put in would be your socks, gloves and bandanas, just stuff them into the cracks where you can find them.

Once You’re Packed

After everything is all packed I like to kick it and watch some snowboard (or ski) videos just to get myself stoked for the good times ahead. I’ve always been a long time fan of the crew over at Think Thank. They have a new video that leaves me itching to get back on my board, "Brain Dead and Having a Heart Attack", and so I’m not leaving anyone out my good friend just sent me this dope ski video Partly Cloudy - Level 1 Productions.

Below is the checklist for you guys to print off or use as you like.  Do any of you have anything you never go riding without? Leave a comment letting us know.
